For a leading international client in the Rotterdam area, we are looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer. This organisation designs, builds and delivers advanced technical systems to customers all over the world, with a strong focus on offshore energy and heavy industry. As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for installing, fine-tuning, maintaining and troubleshooting the control systems on the equipment the client delivers worldwide. Your knowledge of PLC and SCADA is essential to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently at the customer’s site.
You are the face of the organisation on location, supported by a team of specialists in the back office who think along with you on every challenge. On top of that, you work closely with the engineers to keep raising the systems to a higher level.
One day you are behind your laptop or in a meeting, the next you are abroad working on a software installation or test, surrounded by complex drive systems, large-scale installations and control technology. Around 60% of your time you are travelling internationally, both onshore and offshore. Travel and the occasional weekend work come with the role.
